Craig McClellan Appears on ABC 10 News to Discuss Fatal Crash
For the past decade, locals of Oceanside, CA have complained that Vista Way is a dangerous road to travel, referring to it as a “death trap.” With dozens of car accidents occurring over the past decade, it is no wonder why locals have become upset with the lack of urgency to redesign this road.
Sadly, on this street, San Diego Zoo conservation researcher Amaranta Kozuch, was killed by a driver allegedly exceeding the speed limit. Although the other driver was traveling at high speeds, locals say that an accident such as this was bound to happen because of the lack of highway transition.
Craig McClellan of The McClellan Law Firm is currently representing Kozuch’s mother, Jeanne Kozuch, who has filed a lawsuit against the City of Oceanside as well as the California Department of Transportation. Although CalTrans has agreed to redesign the area by 2035, Attorney McClellan states that that is simply not good enough.
Amongst all of the anger and tears from city locals, prosecutors are still reviewing the case against the driver before any decisions are finalized.
